Quick Update: "Press Release of the Future"

Just a quick post to let anyone still interested in the "press release of the future" furor that I've showed it to a few clients and prospects, to take their temperature on whether they are ready to consider a "PR 2.0" approach.

I figure if the clients don't dig it, it won't matter much if the journalists do.

They dig it. My friends, the clients & prospects I've shown it to so far have LOVED it. Very interesting.

Not sure, yet, whether they love the idea just because it is NEW (shiny object syndrome?) or because they think it might really work better. Stay tuned.

Todd -- just curious, tech companies? Or broader base of clients? As we've chatted in the past, some of (not all) my concerns about new formats in general are about audience. Is the media you are sending to ready and able to deal with new, high tech formats --tags, links and so on? If yes, god speed all travellers. If not, don't we risk making a bad situation worse?

Yes, these were tech clients, which is a fair question to ask...but your comment goes on to basically ask about media acceptance, yes? If so, then of course we'd need to be sure that the targeted journalists were receptive to this new-era approach.
